NEW Navajo (Iron-IIB) || found 1921 and 1926, Apache County, Arizona, USA || 2,180 kilograms total weight

The Navajo meteorite was called Pish le gin e gin ("black iron) by the Native Americans in the region.  These pieces originate from the The Field Museum (Chicago) specimen number Me2099b (in the Mile High Meteorites Collection) that is called Navajo II in the manuscript written about the Navajo meteorite find.  All slices will come with a copy of the Schwade Collection label.

The cut face of each slice was left "as-is" from the Field Museum, since polishing it may have caused each slice to break along its crystal boundaries.
